Dedicated to Exceptional
Craftsmanship

Hollingworth Forge started in 2018 when I asked my engineer brother to help me build a 2”x72” belt sander (grinder). After researching several plans, we decided on one that used an old motor off of my late grandfather’s air compressor and a bunch of scrap tube steel from our local recycle yard. I worked out of my 10’x12’ lawn equipment shed running an extension chord to power the grinder and lights. I bought a 2 burner forge off of Amazon that I still use today. Hollingworth Forge is dedicated to handcrafting the best knives and tools for your hunting, camping, cooking and survival needs. Each item is hand made by me (Joseph Hollingworth) with all the care and attention to detail as I can give. What started out as a hobby in a shed is now the start of a family business that can be passed down and continued for generations.

Joseph Hollingworth (Joe) is a Christian, husband, father of two, and a United States Army Veteran with 13 years of service in both active and National Guard as a Combat Medic. He deployed twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and once in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His interest in knife making started when a mentor of his introduced him to blacksmithing in 2002. He was hooked, but life had to take it’s turn before he could settle down and start making knives again.

Joe started Hollingworth Forge in 2018 with a homemade grinder, a cheap Amazon forge and his Grandfather’s anvil in a 10’x12’ shed using a 100’ extension cord for power. His vision is to make affordable, useable knives for the outdoors and home with a personal connection to the user
